This paper is in introduction focused on review of robotic vacuum cleaning and evaluation of available products qualities. However the main focus of this paper is system design of all subsystems, control systems and PCD design of robot electronics. In this paper is also described a method for evaluating approximate distance of robot from the obstacle. There are also described problems of system design of IR proximity sensors. The last part of this work is development of control software for robot and its testing.
Possibilities of use of non traditional raw materials for the manufacture of the vacuum thermal insulation with extremely low thermal conductivity
Kováriková, Růžena ; Peterková, Jitka (referee) ; Zach, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with the study of the behavior of advanced insulating materials on the basis of secondary raw materials and the possibilities of their use in the production of vacuum insulation using in the construction and industry. The work will be devoted to possible raw material resources, problems of long-term behavior of insulators on the basis of selected secondary raw materials under reduced pressures as well as economic evaluation of the competitiveness of alternative insulators on the building market in the field of vacuum insulation.
Decarburisation and degassing of high-alloyed Cr steels under vacuum
Ertelt, Tomáš ; Pernica, Vítězslav (referee) ; Záděra, Antonín (advisor)
The work deals with the investigation of the effects of vacuum degassing and decarburization in high alloyed stainless steel. The reason for this is to increase corrosion resistance and mechanical properties. The theoretical part is devoted to the analysis of options to reduce carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen and manganese at atmospheric pressure and in vacuum. In experimental part there is the description of melting, calculation of conditions facilitating reduction of oxide inclusions as a function of the gas pressure in the furnace and the evaluation of the influence of vacuum on the content reduction of carbon, nitrogen and manganese.

The subject of this thesis is to complete the project vacuum end effectors for handling objects plate type. The work includes the completion of a 3D model, drawing, computer simulation uchopovacího positioning system, the draft control system for stepping motors and verification functions of effectors with the industrial robot ABB IRB 4400/60
Advanced Abrasion Resistant Coatings for Vacuum Systems
Hégr, Eduard ; Kudláček,, Petr (referee) ; Hrubý, Vojtěch (referee) ; Švejcar, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis is focused on research of advanced surface resistant coatings which have a direct effect on increasing of functional properties of vacuum systems (eg reducing wear of individual pump components, surface inertia to aggressive gases/molecules). But they can also secondarily affect other important pump properties (eg reducing pump temperature). The studied layers/coatings are divided into three areas (i) hard anodic layer, (ii) hard anodic layer with PTFE coating and (iii) DLC coating. The initial material (substrate) is an aluminum-based alloy, which was used for this purpose. In presented thesis, the influence on increase of material and physical properties was demonstrated, such as the increase of hardness and abrasion resistance of the surface after the application of the anodic layer with PTFE coating. The theoretical part of thesis describes the basic principles of preparation of abrasion-resistant layers/coatings and also introduces the vacuum physics. It shows the basic principles of obtaining vacuum, which give a comprehensive picture of the importance of working with advanced coatings. The experimental part is divided into the evaluation of the microstructure of the sample material and the second part is focused on the experiments needed to obtain/measure the required properties, which can be further used to predict damage of the layers/coatings.
Bayonet door of pressurized furnace
Brada, Karel ; Anderle, Martin (referee) ; Prokeš, František (advisor)
In this master's thesis a design of door for helium quenching furnace is described. Based on background research, several options for the design have been compared. All calculations were carried out based on structural needs resulting from high pressure gas quenching technology. By the ending of this thesis a mounting procedure and rough cost price estimation is described. Part of master's thesis is also a virtual 3D prototype and a drawing documentation.
Precision and dynamics of linear piezo motors
Ilichman, Ondřej ; Vaške, František (referee) ; Houška, Pavel (advisor)
The work deals with the design, control, precision and dynamics of linear piezoelectric motors from PiezoMotor Uppsala AB. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the applicability of the loaned engine in a mass spectrometer. In introduction‘s section of this work is discussing the design principles of functionality, materials used, procedure and types of piezoelectric motors. It focuses the choice of hardware and design of mechanical assemblies, which could replace the current mechanism with electromagnetic motors. Then we designed and fabricated a test report with hired piezoelectric motor. In NI LabView development environment is created test application for control and measurement. The final section is devoted to a summary of the positive and negative features of the hired piezoelectric motor and evaluation of accuracy and dynamics.
Verification of multi-layer insulation in simulated space environment
Design of adjusment mechanism of Wehnelt cylinder of electron gun
Franc, Viktor ; Mach, Jindřich (referee) ; Zlámal, Jakub (advisor)
One of the essential elements of thermionic electron gun is Wehnelt cylinder and it’s adjustment mechanism. This bachelor thesis is dedicated to the design of the mechanism. There are also described different types of electron guns and their function.
Measurement of oxygen activity in ferro-alloys
Žák, Štěpán ; Čamek, Libor (referee) ; Záděra, Antonín (advisor)
The thesis deals with determination of the oxygen content in ferro-alloys with emphasis on direct oxygen activity measurement in the meltage. The practical part of the thesis contains statistical analysis of oxygen activity values measured in austenitic and duplex stainless steel meltages. The measurements were done in vacuum furnace before vacuuming and afterwards. Statistically significant dependency of oxygen activity on the temperature of meltage was discovered among the values measured after the vacuuming. Therefore, its value can be predicted based just on the temperature of the meltage. No statistically significant dependency was found among the values measured before vacuuming (except for the low Chromium austenitic stainless steel meltages). Hence, other factors need to be considered when predicting oxygen activity before vacuuming.
